General Meeting - Decline of the Church of Scientology

Jim Lippard will be giving a talk entitled "The Decline and (Probable) Fall of the Church of Scientology." His talk will give some highlights of the Church of Scientology's history, its doctrines, and recent events that seem to indicate an accelerating decline in the organization.

Jim Lippard is an author and skeptical activist. He founded Phoenix Skeptics in 1985 and also served as editor of The Arizona Skeptic and webmaster for the Skeptics Society (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeptics_Society). He has authored many magazine and journal articles, including "Scientology v. the Internet: Freedom of Speech and Copyright Infringement on the Information Super-Highway (http://www.discord.org/~lippard/skeptic/03.3.jl-jj-scientology.html)" and "The Decline and (Probable) Fall of the Scientology Empire!", both of which were published in Skeptic magazine.
