THE DEEP END: Conversations Below the Surface
Details
Most conversations stay near the surface. We learn what people do, but rarely discover who they are. The Deep End creates the conditions for a different kind of conversation—one that invites curiosity, reflection, and genuine human connection.
During this session, you'll meet with several different people to experience a series of thoughtfully structured one-on-one conversations that make it easy to move beyond introductions and into meaningful dialogue. Throughout the evening, discover new perspectives and shared humanity, while noticing what emerges when we slow down and truly listen.
Every meaningful conversation has the potential to change us—through a new perspective, the experience of feeling deeply understood, or simply by saying something out loud we've never spoken before.
Sometimes we discover ourselves through solitude.
Sometimes we discover ourselves through reflection.
And sometimes we discover ourselves in the space between us.
SHARED INTENTION
To create a space for meaningful conversations that deepen self-awareness, remind us of our shared humanity, and help us get to know one another beyond the surface. We also hope these conversations become the beginning of genuine friendships and lasting relationships within our community.
6:00–6:20 PM | Welcome and Introductions
We'll introduce Tribe of One Love, the intention for the evening, and a few simple conversation practices that help create an environment of openness, curiosity, and respect.
6:20–7:30 PM | Guided Conversations
Participants rotate through a series of one-on-one conversations. At the beginning of each round, you'll choose from a collection of conversation prompts—or simply share whatever feels most alive or meaningful to you in that moment.
7:30–8:00 PM | Community Reflection
We'll gather as a community to share insights, discoveries, questions, and reflections that emerged throughout the evening.
Afterward, you're welcome to stay, continue conversations, and enjoy the rest of the evening together.

MISSION OF TRIBE OF ONE LOVE
We are a community devoted to expanding our capacity to practice love for all—cherishing the sacredness of every human, nurturing meaningful connection, and living the wisdom of love in action. In doing so, we cultivate joy and awaken a higher consciousness that inspires more connected lives for ourselves, our families, and the world around us.
DEEP END CONVERSATION GUIDELINES
The Deep End is an invitation to practice meaningful conversation together. These aren't rules to follow perfectly—they're simple agreements that help create an experience where everyone feels welcome, respected, and heard.
- Speak from your own experience. Use "I" language and share what feels true for you rather than speaking for others.
- Listen to understand. Approach each conversation with curiosity rather than the need to fix, persuade, debate, or offer advice.
- Practice compassionate witnessing. Offer your presence and attention without judgment. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give another person is simply to listen.
- Share what feels right. You're always welcome to answer one of the conversation prompts or share whatever feels most meaningful or alive for you in that moment. Share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
- Honor our shared humanity. Every person carries joys, struggles, hopes, and questions that may not be visible on the surface. Meet one another with kindness and respect.
- Help create space for everyone. Be mindful of balancing speaking and listening so each conversation feels mutual and engaging.
- Respect confidentiality. While you're welcome to share your own insights after the event, please honor the privacy of others by not sharing their personal stories without permission.
