Hello Kotliners! Concerning the 4th meeting, I have some very exciting news for you.

𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽'𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿!
Dynatrace creates a product under the same name which is a leader on the Application Performance Monitoring market. I have the pleasure to work for Dynatrace and I'm currently engaged into creating a company-internal service using Kotlin. We are lucky to have a large R&D site in Gdańsk in one of the Alchemia buildings.

The upcoming meeting will be our first opportunity to finally meet live (unless sanitary restrictions appear). Snacks and beverages will be provided, along with a unique opportunity for networking with people passionate about Kotlin.

𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
Meetup is the de facto standard when it comes to groups like ours, so it greatly improves our group's discoverability.

Zoom will allow us to have bidirectional communication, better-quality recordings, and more.

This meeting's talks:

𝗣𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗿 𝗞𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻́𝘀𝗸𝗶, "𝟭𝟬 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝗮𝘃𝗮"
Do you want to start your journey with Kotlin? Is your team introducing Kotlin, you know you need to learn it, and you don't know where to start? In either case, this talk should be a great help. I had a bunch of surprises when I moved from Java to Kotlin, and I want to tell you all about them. I’ll show you Java vs. Kotlin examples and explain why the creators of Kotlin made these choices.

Piotr is a senior software developer at Dynatrace, and a leader of this KUG. He loves caring about not only what he creates, but how it's done (clean code, functional programming, test-driven development, and more). He's also a proud husband and the father of a 3-year-old boy.

𝗚𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘇 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗰𝘇𝗮𝗸, "𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀"
Want to write neat, efficient, asynchronous code without struggling with a clunky Thread class and its derivatives? Just use Kotlin Coroutines! During this talk, you will learn the basics of Kotlin Coroutines and study practical examples, ready to be used in your code. Prior Kotlin knowledge is not required!

Grzegorz is a senior Java/Kotlin developer at GFT Poland. He’s passionate about databases and simplifying code & life. Besides programming, he enjoys sharing his knowledge as a conference speaker and coding trainer. After hours, he's a geek and IT security enthusiast.
