Pattern Matching in Clojure: Best Practices
Details
Sean Johnson will give a talk: "Pattern Matching in Clojure: Best Practices".
Clojure's emphasis on programming with immutable data plays well with declarative programming and pattern matching. Pattern matching is a useful tool that can simplify your code and make it more declarative. Powerful pattern matching libraries such as core.match and defun give Clojure pattern matching abilities that rival Prolog and Erlang.
Sean will present an experience report and best practices from extensive use of pattern matching libraries in three recent open source Clojure projects.
Sean is an Engineering Director at Path where he runs the remote engineering team.
NOTE: Location change. This month's meetup is at the Infusion offices. It is not at Cognitect this time.
