Saarschleife 🏞️ Hike +- 16km - Loop

Hi everyone,

September's hike will be back in Germany and with a train connection so that it is more inclusive and we don't need to worry about the car situation.

🔺We will meet up at Mettlach train station parking lot at 09h05 to start it at 09h20. We will go up to Saarschleife for some pictures, come down, if the boat is operating we cross the river, if not we just hike along it back to Mettlach. I will try to see if the boat will be available and the cost. Of course, bring cash.

We will grab a drink/food either in Mettlach or in Trier, we will see 🙂

I will setup a car pool closer to the date, since I don't have the Deutschland Ticket, it's not worth for me to take the train unfortunately 😔.

🚄 For the people joining us from Trier with the Train:
Trier Hbf 08h33, reaching Mettlach at 09h04

The trains run every +-30min, same for the return, so don't stress about it, unless DB has other plans.

If people want to join from Lux with Public Transportation, I see that there is a replacement Bus leaving Lux Gare/Rocade around 7h21 (a bit early, sorry) that will take you to Trier Gare. Or we try to find Lux people coming with a car.
