Embark on a scenic countryside adventure that will take you through the charming landscapes of Wellington, Waterloo, Eramosa, Milton, and Dufferin counties. Beginning in Fergus, this journey winds its way through Elora, Conestogo, West Montrose, Rockwood, Eramosa, Orangeville, Amaranth, Grand Valley, Belwood, and finally loops back to Fergus. Enjoy the tranquil beauty of open country roads and sweeping rural vistas, dotted with quaint country churches, roadside stands, markets, windmills, and sprawling farms. Throughout the drive, you’ll cross the upper Grand River multiple times, immersing yourself in the peaceful ambiance of the countryside.

The tour will take approximately 4.25 hours to reach Amaranth Municipal Park, where we’ll stop to enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch. Afterward, we’ll continue for another hour and a half through Dufferin County, heading to Grand Valley, and then make our way back through the Belwood Lake area to Fergus. The total distance covered is around 285 km.

Our adventure begins at the Chucks Roadhouse parking lot, located behind Tim Hortons on Hwy 6 in Fergus. From there, we’ll follow the Grand River to Elora, then venture west to Conestogo before crossing the historic covered bridge at West Montrose. Continuing eastward, we’ll pass through Inverhaugh and head south through picturesque rural roads, making our way past Cox Creek Winery, and into the scenic Guelph Lake Eramosa area. We’ll then stop briefly at Wellington Country Market (be sure to bring a small cooler for any potential purchases or additional picnic supplies) before meandering along the backroads south of Rockwood, where we’ll take a short break.

Our journey then heads north through Ontario’s farmland, continuing to the ***** Lake area before heading east toward *****. We’ll make a quick stop for a bio break before continuing north on Hwy *****. Venturing into rural Dufferin County, we’ll reach ***** for a leisurely picnic lunch, where restroom facilities will be available at the municipal offices. After lunch, we’ll head further north into mid-Dufferin County, then westward to County Road *****. From there, we’ll proceed south through the charming village of *****, where another bio break is available if needed.

On our return, we’ll travel south on County Road *****, pass through *****, and then return to Fergus, crossing over the ***** once again and taking in the scenic surroundings. Our adventure will conclude back in Fergus.

Departure times are set for 8:45 AM for the first group, with a second group departing at 9:00 AM if applicable.
