Robert Benson is a local programmer who is obsessed with the theoretical side of computer science and wants to share that passion with other programmers or anyone who might be interested. He uses Go and Java at work, and Scheme and Haskell for fun, among other languages.

Robert will walk us through the history and some applications of lambda calculus in a talk titled "lambda calculus: the theory of programming, from before we had computers"
