There are some things in SQL Server 2025 that we have been asking for since about two decades ago. Like regex, and a developer edition in standard mode. One of them is fuzzy string matching, thanks to some new functions that have popped up. Join me as I show you through some of this functionality, and how I think the real opportunity for fuzzy is to leverage some other new features.
