React Challenge Day
Agenda 9:00am - 10:15 - say hello 9:15 - 9:30 - Pair-off & decide your challenge(s) 11:40 - 12:00pm - Recap: what you did, learned or realized you need to do. We will be presenting a variety of React based challenges that range from simple to difficult. You get to pick your challenge and we will help you out when you get stuck. The current challenge list can be found here: Additional challenges and details will be added as the challenge day comes closer. You can work by yourself, but it is highly suggested you work in pairs. You can do multiple challenges. Real world? Not exactly, help available but, there is no tutorial or video to watch. Your job is to solve the problem using your knowledge, your partners knowledge, and web based resources. Start before or finish later The goal is not to finish the challenge (although it is wonderful if you do), but to walk away having learned something that will help you get to the next step in your learning path. You are welcome to work on the challenges before the event. In order to participate you should be comfortable with JavaScript, CSS & React. All challenges will require JavaScript and React. Others will add CSS to the mix. You are expected to have your laptop configured for React development by installing the following software. What we're about

TriValley Coders is a community of developers helping developers. We hold free bi-weekly meetings where beginner and experienced developers mix and learn together as well as periodic social get-togethers at local coffee shops.

What will happen a get-together?

We make everyone feel welcome, talk tech, career goals, learning strategy and just hang-out.

What will happen at a meetup?

15 minutes of saying hello and getting setup, then we dig in and learn something.

Who should attend?

Anyone seriously involved in learning to code with JavaScript or Python. Subjects lately have been intermediate to advance, but beginners and non-coders are welcome to come and see what goes on.

What technologies will we be leaning?

JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Node.js, Express, React.js, MongoDB, Git/GitHub, best practices and how to write quality code.

Who is the host/organizer? TriValley Coders organizers are experienced software developers who have been making many types of software for from 5 to very many years.

When & where do we meet?

Our regular meetings are every other Thursday, 9:00am to 12:00pm, at BRIIA (Bishop Ranch Intelligence Innovation Accelerator) - but always check the specific session in case we do something different!
