Join the directors of Workie Ticket Theatre, Ashlea and JoJo for a behind-the-scenes look at Geordie Gaol Girls - a powerful new production uncovering the forgotten herstories of women imprisoned in Newcastle’s old gaol.
In this talk, we’ll share how the project was created in collaboration with women and girls from across the region, the extraordinary stories we’ve discovered in the archives and why it’s so important to shine a light on those whose voices history tried to silence.
