What we’re about
This meetup will take place in the community lounge of my apartment building at 355 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Uptown Charlotte.
Timing: Sunday | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
What to Bring (or Not):
You don’t need to bring any books or materials—just come as you are.
If you'd like to take notes or write down personal reflections, feel free to bring a notebook. If not, I’ll have pens and notepads available for anyone who needs them.
Tea will be provided—come ready for sincere reflection and meaningful conversation.
This is a weekly gathering for those who seek clarity, depth, and self-transformation through inner work. This is a space for sincere self-inquiry—a safe, non-judgmental environment where we can observe and confront our inner patterns and grow in self-awareness.
In each session, we will explore the teachings of Acharya Prashant—a contemporary Vedanta teacher whose insights cut through superficial spirituality and bring us face-to-face with our inner patterns, ego, and unconscious identifications.
Structure of Each Meetup:
Video Reflection:
We will begin by watching a selected video clip (10–15 mins) of Acharya Prashant’s talk. After that, each participant will be invited to share their personal reflection for 5–10 minutes.
Reading & Sharing:
We will then read 1–2 pages from one of Acharya Ji’s books. To begin with, we will use his book "Ego". After reading, we will again go around the circle and each person will share how the reading exposed something within them—especially patterns of thought, emotion, or identity that we normally do not notice.
(Optional) Singing Kabir Saheb's Verses:
If there is interest, we will close each session by singing 1-2 couplets of Sant Kabir Saheb, whose poetry, when sung with understanding, act as mirrors—revealing the hidden layers of the self and pointing us back to Truth.
