Safe Snuggles

Details

Come as you are and leave more connected.

Safe Snuggles is a cozy, guided gathering where we create a safe and respectful space for nurturing, platonic touch and human connection. Whether you’re feeling touch-starved, longing for gentle connection, or simply curious about the healing power of consensual closeness—this space is for you.

This is a LGBTQIA+ affirming space, and we welcome all identities, orientations, expressions, relationship styles, and bodies with open arms. Whether you are gay, straight, bi, trans, non-binary, queer, questioning, polyamorous, monogamous, solo, partnered, or figuring it out—we’re glad you’re here. You are safe and seen.

What to Expect:

1. Arrival & Welcome

(5:45 - 6:10 PM We close the circle by 6:10 PM No Later Arrivals)

We’ll start by settling in, getting cozy, and grounding into the space together. You’ll meet the hosts and the other beautiful souls joining the experience.

2. Creating the Container

We’ll gently walk through the agreements for consent, communication, and comfort. This ensures everyone feels safe, empowered, and respected throughout the event.

3. Connection Warm-ups

We’ll guide you through lighthearted and heart-centered connection exercises to help you drop into your body and presence. Warm connecting eye gazing, gentle breathing, and tuning into your own boundaries.

Heart Gaze & Breath Connection

Before we ease into snuggles, we’ll begin with a gentle warm-up to help you arrive in your body and connect from the heart.

You’ll be invited to sit across from a partner and place one hand on your own heart. If it feels good and consensual, you may place your other hand over theirs, or they over yours.

Then we’ll breathe together—soft, slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. There’s no pressure to get it perfect. Just relax into the rhythm and presence of another kind soul.

As you breathe, allow your eyes to rest softly on theirs. You can look away if needed—this is about honoring yourself first, always.

After a few breaths, I’ll invite you to share something true in the moment.

Honoring Boundaries is Non-Negotiable

This space is built on trust, safety, and mutual respect. At Safe Snuggles, we hold a zero tolerance policy for anyone who does not honor boundaries—whether physical, emotional, or energetic.

Consent is not a one-time checkmark—it’s a living, ongoing agreement. You have full permission to say yes, no, or I need a moment at any time, and that will always be respected.

If someone crosses a boundary—verbally, physically, or through pressure or disregard—we will gently but firmly ask them to leave immediately, no questions asked, no second chances. This is not to shame or punish, but to protect the safety and dignity of the group.

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their body. That’s our commitment to you—and we ask that you make the same commitment to every person in the room.

If you ever feel unsure, triggered, or uncomfortable for any reason, please come talk to us (Mark or Lynetta) right away. We are here to hold that space with care and support.

5. Safe Snuggle Rotations

You’ll be invited to pair up for fully clothed, platonic snuggles—rotating so you have a chance to connect with different people. Every invitation is optional and guided by your own comfort and intuition.

You are safe to opt out at any moment. You are welcome to change your mind at any given moment and re-negotiate with your partner.

If there is anyone that you don't feel safe snuggling with, you are embraced in your decision to pass with that partner and move to a partner that feels super safe.

4. Closing Circle (around 7:45 PM)

We’ll come back together for a short closing, to share reflections and land with gratitude.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothes for relaxing and snuggling (layers are great!)
