The Story
EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL CARE – LGBTQIA+ MARCH ON HARRISBURG
1:00 PM – March around the Pennsylvania State Capitol
2:00 PM – Rally on the Capitol stepsNow more than ever, LGBTQ+ people and our allies need to stand up to proclaim our truth and to fight for our rights. That's why, for the first time in over a decade, LGBTQIA+ communities and allies from across Pennsylvania will unite in Harrisburg to demand equal protections, access to care, and real leadership from our elected officials.
Why We’re Marching - On October 26th, we’re uniting in Harrisburg to demand:- Healthcare Access:
- Protect gender-affirming care,
- fully fund HIV/AIDS programs,
- expand access to PrEP/PEP,
- and defend reproductive rights.
- Equal Rights:
- Strengthen hate crime protections,
- ban conversion therapy,
- ensure safety for incarcerated LGBTQIA+ people,
- and end funding for human rights violators.
- Equal Protections:
- Defend marriage equality,
- enforce nondiscrimination,
- stop ICE targeting,
- invest in community safety,
- and secure housing/support for LGBTQIA+ youth, elders, and families.
Join us to show that LGBTQIA+ Pennsylvanians deserve dignity, care, and equality.
Our goal is to get up to 1,000 queer people from across the state to protest and advocate for equal rights, equal protection under the law, and equity in healthcare.5 attendees- •Online
