Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Practice Group
Hosted by: Darius Leo, Clinical Psychologist — TrueHope Psychology (Spring Hill, Brisbane)
Looking to strengthen your mindfulness practice, manage stress more skilfully, and bring a little more steadiness into a busy life?
This group offers a grounded, evidence-based introduction to Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) — the approach taught and researched at Brown, Oxford, and Cambridge Universities.
What to Expect
Each session blends:
Guided mindfulness practices (breath/body awareness, mindful movement, 3-minute breathing space)
Light cognitive strategies to help you notice unhelpful patterns early
Practical skills for responding to stress with balance and compassion
Optional group reflections — always supportive, always at your own pace
No prior meditation experience is needed. Just curiosity, and the willingness to show up as you are.
