Programming Beofeng Radios
Details
This FREE class will show you how to load common and custom channels into your Baofeng (and other) radios.
A key feature of these inexpensive VHF/UHF radios is you can use a
variety of channels as opposed to the off the shelf “walkie talkies”.
This feature enables you to use not only the popular radio services
such as FRS, GMRS and MURS but also listen to amateur and public
services.
However, a little more work is needed to load the radios with the
channels you want to have access to. This is accomplished by
“programming the radio”. This is simple to do with a computer and
enables you to keep all your radios in sync quickly and easily. While
we will discuss at all the ways to program your radios, we will focus
on the use of “Chirp”, an open-source program used to program over
600 different radios.
