Discussion on: What is Truth?

We all seem to agree that it's a worthwhile endeavor to seek the Truth. But we don't always have the same idea of what that Truth is.

Some will say that Truth is reached through the scientific method, and it sure has been exceptionally effective at explaining physical phenomenon and enabling an explosion of technological advancement. But is it missing something? Is Truth only about the material?

Others will give a more philosophical definition saying it's what corresponds to the actual state of affairs or reality.

Yet others will say it's something revealed to us by scripture, divine teachers or experiences. The emphasis here perhaps being more about meaning and morality.

Can something be objectively true?

It's anything but obvious what Truth is or if we can reach a consensus. But perhaps a part of what Truth is is the ability to meet and discuss, to understand other perspectives and gain insights.
