Back for another round after a great turnout last time. A casual walk to explore some of Ottawa’s street art and murals.

We’ll start near where Wellington Street turns into Somerset Street and explore both areas using the Ottawalls map as a guide. The plan is to walk down one side of Wellington and back along the other, then do the same along Somerset — seeing what we find along the way. You’ve probably walked past some of these before — just not all at once.

Along the route, we’ll check out Emilie Darlington’s koi mural — one of the more striking pieces in the area, and the inspiration behind this event’s image.

We’ll move at a casual pace and plan for around 2 hours total including stops along the way. Since the route passes back near the starting area midway through, there’s also the option to join for just the first hour if you prefer.

The group will stay small (around 10 people). People often end up swapping phones and taking photos for each other along the way — feel free to join in if that’s your thing.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll adjust.

Meeting point: In front of Ahh!!! Coffee (50 Bayswater Avenue)
I’ll likely grab a coffee there beforehand if anyone wants to join.

We’ll likely wrap up somewhere nearby for anyone who wants to stick around afterward — there are plenty of nearby food and drink options in the area.

By the way:
We’ve also got a small Acrylic Painting Night coming up next week for anyone interested in the more 'hands-on' side of art:
