Server-Side, a realm dominated by Python, Java and JavaScript, faces a new and promising challenger. "Perfect", a company that aims to create the perfect web framework for Mobile and Web Developers, will be demo'ing Swift's potential on Server-Side. Being one of the first pioneers of Server-Side Swift, Perfect has shown noticeable performance and potential for industry to switch to Swift for Server-Side solutions.

Build an API for your front end game engine! Together we will use server-side Swift to build a back-end that logs a player in, stores individual & high scores, and delivers in-game news.

Speaker Bio:

Jonathon Guthrie (Jono) has been developing server side applications for nearly 20 years, with a number of different languages. Moved to Canada from New Zealand in 2010 to help architect the next generation of server side development, he’s now part of the Perfect team bringing Swift to the server. In his spare time he’s a session musician, sound engineer, gamer, and loves writing API’s for all sorts of obscure things.
