Trying to Date RVA is an affiliate of Trying to Adult RVA, a community focused on helping young adults navigate various aspects of adult life. While Trying to Adult RVA emphasizes friendship and social connections, Trying to Date RVA takes it a step further by providing opportunities specifically for dating and building romantic connections. Together, these groups create a supportive environment for individuals looking to expand their social circles and find meaningful relationships.

Searching for Love
VIrginia Museum of History & Culture, 428 N. Boulevard, Richmond, VA, USKick off 2026 with a unique RVA singles experience at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture! As part of the museum’s First Fridays, we’ll combine history, local culture, and connection-building in one fun night.
Here’s how it works:
- Partner Rotations: Each round, you’ll find a new partner based on fun “Find Someone Who” prompts like sharing a birth month or favorite local spot.
- Interactive Scavenger Hunt: Together, you’ll explore museum exhibits, complete engaging tasks, and learn fascinating RVA history.
- Social Mixer: After the hunt, enjoy informal conversation where you can reconnect or meet even more singles.
Whether you’re a history buff, a Richmond local, or just looking for a fun way to meet new people, this special First Fridays event is your chance to explore, mingle, and maybe even find a match in a festive, playful environment.

At Perfect Pairings, every guy will receive a sample of one of Richmond Olive Oil Co’s signature olive oil flavors, and every girl will receive a sample of a unique balsamic vinegar flavor.
Your mission?
Mingle, taste, and see whose flavors blend into a perfect match—both in flavor and in chemistry.
As you mix and meet new people, you’ll test your samples together to discover which olive oils and balsamics make the most irresistible combinations. And if you find a pairing that’s absolutely delicious (or a pairing you want to keep exploring 👀), you can take it home! Richmond Olive Oil Co will offer an exclusive one-night-only discount on bottles of the perfect pairs.
We’ll have equal numbers of guys and girls, a fun guided mixer structure, and plenty of opportunities for sparks to fly.
