Welcome to "Capacity for Connection - Meetup and Hacker Lab", a unique space dedicated to amplifying our innate abilities to listen and connect deeply. Drawing from the rich philosophies and language of Circling, Authentic Relating, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other adjacent modalities, we explore the art and science of human connection. What makes us a "hacker lab" is our innovative approach: I will guide us in leveraging technology and media as dynamic tools to enhance our learning and practice, aiming to help ourselves and each other truly elevate our innate capacity for meaningful connection.
Core Concept: Circling is an interpersonal, relational meditation practice. It's about being present with others, fostering deep connection, authenticity, and vulnerability in a group setting. The focus is on understanding and "getting" another person's world, as well as understanding oneself in relation to others.
- Atmosphere: The intended atmosphere is one of safety, non-judgment, trust, openness, and mindful connection. It can be transformative, healing, and lead to a sense of aliveness and community.
