From Copilot to Coworker: Skills That Get Work Done

As Microsoft’s AI ecosystem evolves from prompts to action-oriented agents, Skills are becoming the foundation for extending Copilot capabilities across Microsoft 365 and beyond. This session explores how Skills can be used in Word to summarize and review contracts, Excel to analyze data and generate forecasts, and Outlook to triage emails and automate follow-ups. We’ll also examine how Copilot Studio enables custom Skills that connect to business systems, and how Microsoft Cowork orchestrates multiple Skills to execute end-to-end processes such as employee onboarding, sales management, and customer support. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of the architecture, integration patterns, and governance required to build domain-specific AI solutions that deliver real business value.
