A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.
Apropos of nothing, I'm just gonna be prescriptivist and say that biopic, correctly pronounced, does not rhyme with myopic. It's short for "biographical picture" and you're supposed to pronounce it like "bio-pic". (Of course, the truth is, usage ultimately defines correctness, so you can pronounce it however your conscience dictates.)
OK, enough of that. This looks to be a pretty good movie covering the very beginning of Bourdain's career. Showtime is 6:00, so let's gather a bit beforehand to stand around and meet each other before we get our seats. Afterwards, let's get a bite to eat either at Taipei 101 or Crosstown Pub (which is open later).
