Drawing Characters from Book Descriptions

Sometimes movie adaptations adhere strongly to the source material. And sometimes, to the dismay of devoted fans, media adaptations take creative liberties, and characters can stray far from their original descriptions in books.

In this meetup, we’ll challenge our imagination and artistic skills by drawing characters based solely on their book descriptions. Once our drawings are complete, we’ll have fun guessing which characters they might represent.

(Note that this is not meant as a critique towards the media adaptations, especially not towards the actresses or actors.)

I’ve prepared a collection of book descriptions, which we will use to draw the character. After creating our interpretations, we’ll guess and try to identify who the character might be before the reveal. We will then move on to the next character.

We will start at 20:00 with some introductions.
We´ll meet via Google Meets (no Google Account needed, just the link!)

No special preparation or equipment needed, just use the drawing medium you feel comfortable in.
Artists of all skill and experience levels are welcome.
