Japanese Potluck and Party! 1st In-Person Event since 2020!

Hello Group Members both new and old!
We're finally getting the group together again!
The weather is going to be a little cooler and we're finally ready to host a fun gathering!
PLEASE RSVP for Address! The event is at Emy and Yusuke's house, near Country Club and Grant Road.

Saturday, September 17th. Starting at 6pm
Japanese Food Potluck!
We will provide a big pot of Japanese curry and a lots of rice and a little bit of beer and sake! Please feel free to bring your favorite Japanese-style dishes and drinks to share! We'll have a propane gas BBQ available if you'd like to bring something to grill.

We will also have an Origami station for guests to enjoy making some papercrafts!

Around 8pm we'll start a Japanese movie! Then maybe some games after! I know not all of us are drinkers but we could play some type of games after the movie, with our without alcohol!

We have a large yard and space for guests, with a decent sized driveway, please feel free to pull in, or park on the street.

If you can spare a small donation, we'll have a collection setup to help pay for the cost of the party and our yearly Meetup.com subscription fees.

This is a family-friendly event, however we ask you do not bring any animals.

We're hoping that at this event we can also plan future events and other get togethers both for practicing Japanese and socializing!

COVID Concerns:
We haven't had an in-person meetup in almost 2.5 years as our group has been very cautious about the spread of COVID-19. Most of the event will be outdoors, and you are welcome to wear a mask both indoors and outdoors, and we encourage people to take precautions when preparing food for sharing, please be sure to stay home if you are showing any signs of infection or if you have recently been exposed :) THANK YOU!
