Heart of Recovery-Sarpashana: Thursdays, 6-7:30

Heart of Recovery-Sarpashana: a peer led mutual support group serving all people in addiction recovery of any kind (alcohol, drugs, gambling or other addictive tendencies). We serve all people interested in practicing meditation together, listening to short readings selected from Buddhist authors and open sharing.

We offer a safe space to all who wish to join us in relating their paths of recovery with developing or deepening a practice of meditation and mindfulness. This meeting has been continually running since 2002 in Tucson and has helped support many people in their recovery, though we do not specifically offer a program ourselves. You are most welcome to join us whether you are in recovery or not.

Please arrive a few minutes early. Our format consists of a short reading, a 20 minute silent meditation sit, about 45 minutes of open sharing, a 5-minute closing meditation and a short chant to close. We request your mindful assistance in maintaining the meditation room fragrance and cell phone free. We request a $5 donation, or other amount that fits, to help support the Tucson Community Meditation Center, but no one will be turned away.

For more information or questions please contact Linda at (520) 305-1764 or Gary at 520 850 7300.
