Argument: Best realistic outcome of Iran War is for Americans to accept a loss

Robert is filling in as an advocate late because circumstances led to other potential advocates having to bow out.

Robert is making the argument that “The best realistic outcome of the Iran war is for the United States to accept it as a loss, and get out of the Middle East."

His expanded argument goes on: "For the United States to have a chance at winning the war, it will require tens of thousands of US soldier deaths to take and occupy the mountain fortress of Iran, or it will require massive war crimes like widespread carpet bombing or dropping nuclear weapons to break the will of the Iranian people. If Americans can gracefully accept the end of the United States as the global hegemon, it will open up an opportunity to rebuild democratic institutions."
