Lunch at MSA Annex/Mercado District before it gets too hot. * Disclaimer - this is Easter Sunday and I have NO idea if that means more or less crowded there? I will plan on nabbing a nice shaded table on the MSA Annex side (where the container buildings are) if possible. There are several veg food options to choose from:
* Whole Slice Pizza can make vegan versions of ALL their pizzas and do have at least one vegan pizza by the slice option (the pizza is amazing BTW - NY Style). An entire pizza is expensive but it's HUGE (enough for 3 people) so splitting a pizza is possible. Their plant based sausage and pepperoni are delicious). If I recall correctly, they give you a buzzer to alert when ready to pickup because it's at the Mercado side across the street.
* Rollie's Tacos has rolled tacos that include vegetarian (w/cheese) and at least one vegan rolled tacos dish (they used to have vegan flat enchiladas too but I'm not sure anymore), plus chips and salsa and guac.
* Kukai has a vegan ramen and a number of vegetarian options including veg curry, veg egg rolls, and some veg onigiri
* RIP Beaut Burger - this was an entirely vegan burger restaurant in the back of the Annex that was fantastic and last summer sold to new owners and is now BOS Burger. I have no idea what their veggie burgers might be like, though they look expensive but this looks like maybe an option for veggie versions of their burgers ? ???
