Intro to Pima County GIS and Geopandas

Please join us for an intro to Ryan's work and then we will explore some data with GeoPandas in a source data and mapping exercise

To provide online tools and greater transparency, local governments would like to move from or augment paper reports, by providing aesthetically pleasing online dashboards for community outreach and planning activities. Pima County provides federal block grants to targeted, income-qualifying communities to build amenities and infrastructure from fire hydrants and street lights to pantries and community centers.

Ryan Stephenson is a Planner with Pima County & Workforce Development. He uses GIS and Adobe products to provide maps and studies in an effort to empower communities as they plan for meeting their needs.
