Movies on a Theme for Cinephile Nerds - April's Theme is Aging
Details
The movies (which are my tastes, TBH) will tend to be in themes or will be a "pick one from an iconic filmmaker" (like Hitchcock, Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Scorsese, Tarantino, etc.). The suggested titles will tend to be iconic or influential movies that were made with intentional artistic choices.
For this month, these are some titles to consider watching that are about Aging or fighting to remain young/relevant or aging/elderly horror (and feel free to watch/discuss a movie not listed below):
* The Substance
* The Taking of Deborah Logan
* Old
* Whatever Happened to Baby Jane
* The Elderly
* Relic
* Sunset Boulevard
* Don't Breathe
* Pearl
* Deep Red
* Cocoon (not an exact fit but if you're looking for lighter fare)
* The Fly
* The Hunger
