Dinner & book discussion (one-off books on a theme) - Atheism/Agnosticism
Details
An extra Books on a Theme for the month. This location is the Noodleholics on Tanque Verde where Wilmot & Pima converge, in a plaza next to a Jimmy Johns. Pics show ample seating? Parking can be kind of funky because the entrance is a weird angle but you can circle around the back to the front again (makes more sense when you see it) .
Some suggested book titles:
- God, No! Signs You May Already Be An Atheist and Other Magical Tales or Every Day is an Atheist Holiday! by Penn Jillette
- god is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything or The Portable Atheist by Christopher Hitchens (there are many other titles by Hitchens)
- The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins (or many other books by Dawkins)
- Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon by Daniel C. Dennett
- The End of Faith: Religion, Terror and the End of Reason or Free Will by Sam Harris (or many other titles by Harris)
- Godless: How an Evangelical Preacher Became One of America's Leading Atheists by Dan Barker
- The Varieties of Scientific Experience: A Personal View of the Search for God by Carl Sagan and Ann Druyen or The Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark by Carl Sagan (though not an atheist but investigates some interesting ideas)
- Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation by Bill Nye and Corey S Powell
