Full Moon Hike @ Sweetwater Preserve

Meet at 7:15 pm at the Sweetwater Preserve Trailhead parking lot, 4001 N Tortolita Rd, Tucson, AZ

Length: ~4 mile loop
Elevation gain approx. 265 ft
Pace: We walk at 1.5-2.0 mph, possibly slower in the dark. We walk at the pace of the slowest walker. No zooming ahead please unless you let the leaders know that you are leaving the group.

Moon rise is 6:07pm and sunset is at 7:33pm. If weather is good we should be walking under the full moon. Even if it's cloudy, the view of the Tucson valley is beautiful.

4-mile loop trail in the Tucson Mountains. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1.5-2hrs. Dogs are welcome, but MUST be on a leash.

Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes appropriate for mountain dirt trail - narrow, rocky, gravely. Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring at least 1L water, flashlight, hat, hiking poles (recommended) or whatever you need to be prepared and comfortable for hiking in the dark.
