Trauma Conscious Yoga

This is an introductory class for Trauma-Conscious Yoga led by therapist Emily Ghusson at Soul Space Tucson. There is a $10 charge. Wear comfortable clothing. Yoga mats are provided, or feel free to bring your own. Please ask any questions in the comments or send me a message.
Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method is not your typical yoga class- classes will incorporate self-study, somatic therapy elements, breath work, meditation and some gentle asana (poses/movement). Beginners to yoga are absolutely welcome.
Our session on Sept 25th will include:
- A brief piece of psychoeducation about yoga & trauma, and how yoga practices can support healing
- Guided breath practice
- Asana (movement/poses), with a light somatic practice woven in to increase internal awareness
- A guided meditation at the end to promote relaxation
Emily runs 8-week groups. This class is offered at a discounted rate as an introduction to this type of work, to give you an opportunity to try this healing support.
