Yetman Trail one way

What: Yetman Trail, from Gates Pass to Camino de Oeste

When: Wednesday, March 6

WhereMeet at the Camino de Oueste trail head at 8:00am.

Stats: About 6 miles, minimal elevation change - low intermediate

Let's do a car shuttle hike in Tucson Mountain Park: the full length of the Yetman Trail from the Gates Pass trailhead (G3) to the Camino de Oeste trailhead. This is a pretty easy hike with not much elevation gain. It is 6 miles though, so you need to be able to hike the desert for 2 - 3 hours.

We'll meet at the Camino de Oeste trail head and carpool over to the Gates Pass trail head (G3) then hike back to the cars and drive over to retrieve the cars from the Gates Pass trail head.

Directions: Take Speedway west from I10 for 4.6 miles, turn left (south) onto Camino de Oeste where Speedway becomes Gates Pass Rd. Follow Camino de Oeste about half a mile to the dead end with the parking area. The last few hundred feet are not paved.

If you're running late you can call me on my cell:[masked]-7559.

Bring the usual:
- plenty of water
- hat / sunscreen
- snack(s)

Here's a PDF map of the Tucson Mountain Park trails.

Fairly easy six miles. Nice views and met several new friends. I enjoyed it.

A 50-minute drive away from where I live. No worries - one of these will work for me!

So it sounds like if I am at the Gates Pass TH by 8:20 I can do the hike and get a ride back to Gates Pass TH when done.
That TH is closer to me.
