Agua Caliente Loop

Join us for for an Intermediate 6.3 mile loop hike on the east side. This is also known as La Milagrosa - Agua Caliente.

The total elevation gain is 1,354 feet, as we will hike up and down 2 long hills, with part of the hike down in the canyon. Views are excellent in the higher reaches of the hike. The trail is in generally good shape, but I anticipate we will encounter few other hikers, as this is a little off the beaten path.

Our estimated hiking speed is 2+ MPH, which might be considered medium-fast, considering relatively steep ascents. You should be an experienced hiker in good hiking shape if you sign up.

This anticipated speed has us walking for 3 1/4 hours, so I anticipate a total hike of 3 1/2 - 3 3/4 hours. There aren't really any logical spots for a long stop.

Parking is by the side of the road, so we will meet at Le Buzz at the corner of Tanque Verde and Catalina Highway, and carpool for the short distance to the parking area on Avenida De Suzenu. After parking, we will need to walk a short way down a no-traffic road to the trailhead.
