Esperero Trail into Esperero Canyon from SABINO CANYON OVERFLOW LOT

Join us to hike from the Sabino Canyon overflow lot through the Bird Canyon area, on the Esperero trail, to the big tree and creek below "cardiac gap" This scenic hike is approximately 5.5 miles r/t. 1500 ft elevation gain. Partial shade along the way. We have room for 6 more hikers. We will hike at a moderate pace with a few short breaks along the way, We will take a snack break by the creek- 1/2 mile below cardiac gap- and return the same way. Some hikers may continue to the Gap.
Please bring hiking gear, poles if you use them, water and a snack.
This is not a beginners hike it has rocky and steep terrain and we will be hiking at a moderate pace.
