The Chiricahua Big Loop of Rocks
Details
The Big Loop of the Chiricahua National Monument s truly the "Wonderland of Rocks." It’s a hidden landscape filled with thousands of naturally-carved rhyolite pinnacles and towering hoodoos that stretch as far as the eye can see. We’ll hike through the "Heart of Rocks," a stone sculpture garden featuring incredible formations like the Big Balanced Rock, Thor’s Hammer, and the Kissing Rocks. The trail also winds through the Echo Canyon Grottoes and narrow passages that feel like walking through an Indiana Jones movie. It's an enchanting place where you can feel small among the giant stone columns. If the group is interested, we can even add an extra mile RT hike to the Inspiration Point to enjoy the breathtaking view.

To enjoy the beauty of the landscape, we will not hike at a fast pace but take time to explore the park along the trail, make multiple stops to take pictures or climb the rocks.
Since it is a long drive to the park, I highly encourage carpooling with passengers chip in the gas cost to the drivers.
