Sycamore Reservoir Trail

With the heat increasing, let's head higher to about 4,500 feet for the Sycamore Reservoir Trail. This trail starts at the Gordon Hirabayashi Campground on Mt. Lemmon above the saguaro line, and descends to the reservoir. Total distance is 7.2 miles and elevation gain on the hike is 1,158 feet.
This hike is rated Intermediate. You should be a strong hiker in good shape if you sign up. I'm budgeting 3 1/4 hours of hiking time, which equates to about 2.2 MPH +/-, with a total hike including breaks of 3 3/4 hours. This hiking speed may be considered medium-fast, considering the length and elevation gain.
We will meet at Le Buzz at Tanque Verde and Catalina Highway, and carpool to the campground.
