Hike the Green Mt trail on Mt Lemmon

Please join us to hike Green Mountain trail to the saddle 5-6 miles r/t about 1200 ft elevation gain. This hike is colisted with another site and there is still room for 5 hikers.This hike starts part way up Mt Lemmon with cooler temps than Tucson and partial shade. We will start the hike at General Hitchcock trailhead, cross the creek a few times and take a snack break at a view spot up near the saddle.
Depending on temperatures that day there may be an option to extend the hike up to base of Guthrie Mt. (some overgrown scratchy sections.)
This is not a hike for beginning hikers due to steep, rocky areas.
Predicted temperature range 58-80 degrees that day on the trail , bring 2-3 liters of water, electrolytes, snacks, sunscreen, usual hiking footwear and gear, and poles if you use them.
We will carpool and caravan to the triailhead Please do not join a carpool if you are sick.
