Come join us for our weekly Sabino Stroll. This is a great hike for new members. We walk up the paved tram road and enjoy the views of the canyon. We break this event into two separate groups. One departs promptly at 6pm and the other departs at 7pm. The 6pm group walks the entire tram road and back at a brisk pace, for a total of 7.4 miles. The 7pm group turns around at the "scorpion wall" for a total of 4 miles and walks at a more modest pace. We normally break up into even smaller groups as everyone walks at a different pace.
We will meet at the ramada in the main parking lot in front of the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center, do a quick round of introductions and start hiking shortly thereafter. Please write "6pm" in the comments when you RSVP if you are joining the 6pm group. Otherwise, we will expect to see you at 7pm.
!!! If no host is present at the appointed time (+5 minutes), begin the stroll anyway!!!
We are hiking in the dark, so please make sure you have a good flashlight. The rattlesnakes are out. Stroll at your own risk. Be prepared for possible rain.

To pay immediately before the stroll, you will need to have exact change ($8) for a day pass, which can be purchased at the self service station next to the ramada where we meet.
Parking permits for Sabino Canyon cost $8 for a day pass and $40 for an annual pass. Annual passes can be purchased at the ticket booth as well as the Visitor's Center, when its open. Interagency (America the Beautiful and/or Senior) passes are also accepted.
