Lodging in a grand old stone country house, nestled in wooded grounds on the side of the Kinder Scout Plateau, one of the highest residencies in the Peak District, with spectacular views to match.

Join us for a long weekend of outdoor, golden autumnal adventures in the delightful ‘Dark’ sector of the Peak District - higher, wilder & more dramatic!

Desolate heather-clad moors of Kinder; an imposing Great Ridge; bouncing bombs of Ladybower; jagged tors of Derwent; high gritstone plateau of Stanage to undulating steep valley slopes interlocking with blocks of coniferous & mixed forest woodland – just some of the adventures that await, exploring this thrilling landscape.

Hardest trails require guests to possess strong fitness, capable of climbing & descending multiple hills, occasionally steep, at a fast pace.

14.5 - 17 miles (23.3 - 27.4 km) / 1000-1100m ascent

(Sun) – REVENGE OF THE LADYBOWER
13 - 15 miles (20.9 - 24.1 km) / 900-1200m ascent
Strenuous / 4 paws

(Mon) – KINDER SURPRISE [or] VALE OF THE DAMNED
7.5 - 10 miles (12.1 – 16.1 km) / 750-950m ascent
Moderate+ / 3 paws
