Lake McMurtry Hike

Details
We're heading to Stillwater for this one! Home to my college stomping grounds of Oklahoma State University. We'll meet at the East Recreation Area Bait Shop. We'll then drive just up the road and hike 2.5 miles on the Red Trail. Then, we'll drive a little more up the road and hike 2.5 miles on the Yellow Trail. Both trails are mostly flat and are thus considered fairly easy hikes. Please note that you will need to purchase a day pass to enter the park. However, said day pass is only $6 per vehicle.
I had originally planned on going to Claremore Lake this weekend, but OSU Cowgirl Tennis upset the No. 6 overall seed Oklahoma Sooners in the second round of the NCAA Tournament this past Saturday in Norman. Thus, Cowgirl Tennis will be hosting Stanford in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament this Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Greenwood Tennis Center on the campus of OSU. After the hike at Lake McMurtry is done, I will be driving to OSU to see the match. Anybody who wants to tag along is more than welcome to join. Tickets are just $5 per person. Afterwards, I can give anybody who joins me a tour of the OSU campus, and then we can eat at one of the Stilly food hotspots.
I've scheduled the hike at 9:30 to make sure that people don't have to wake up too early while simultaneously making sure that it's not too late in the day to jeopardize missing the tennis match. That being said, I want to make sure I'll have plenty of time to get to the tennis match after the hike. Thus, I'm only going to allow a five-minute grace period to any late hikers. Please be there NO LATER than 9:35. If you call me at 9:30 and tell me that you're going to be 15 minutes late, then I'm sorry, but we're going to start the hike without you. No exceptions. That being said, let's have a fun hike and cheer on Cowgirl Tennis. I can't wait to see you all out there. Go Pokes!
