Let's start off November with a hike in the Tucson Mountain area!

Please read the entire description below to determine if you are comfortable with this hike.

  • Elevation gain is a little under 1,000 feet and the length is 7.8 miles.
  • From what I've read on AllTrails, there's hardly any shade on this trail, so we'll be exposed for most of it.
  • I recommend at least 1.5 liters of water given the length and the exposure of the hike.
  • This area is popular for mountain biking, so let's be alert and let them pass us when needed.
  • There's some steep incline and large rocks along the way so please be mindful of that before signing up.
  • There's parking at Richard E. Genser Starr Pass Trailhead.

Here's a link to the trail.
