Join Turing Circle in the outdoors for a scenic harbour walk from Spit Bridge to Manly. Afterwards, join us for a drink and a bite to eat in Manly before the sun sets.
Turing Circle is a warm and friendly social group of LGBTQIA+ scientists and engineers and others working in STEM-related fields. Our monthly social catch-ups are a chance to meet like-minded professionals in a relaxed setting.

This is a 10km walk, which if detours and stops are not included, takes about 3 hours, and is a moderate difficulty. There will be uneven surfaces and some stairs, so please keep this in mind (but don't let it discourage you).
If you would like to skip the walk, and only want to join us in Manly for a drink afterwards, we'll be at the venue from about 2.30-3pm.
Getting there by public transport is recommended because we won't be returning to our starting point.
Getting there: Take a bus from city to Spit Bridge (e.g 172X/173X or B1+144)
Returning: Manly to Circular Quay ferry, or buses to the city.Food & Drink: 2.30/3pm at the Hotel Steyne (the menu has some GF/DF/VG/V options)
Meeting point: Meet us outside Grumpy's Wharf Café on the southern side of the bridge at 11.30am, where there should be coffee and toilet facilities available before we start. We'll depart soon after.

Food: There is food available with a typical pub menu (VG and GF options available), with a $14 Burger special on Mondays.
Entertainment: stick around from 8pm for Gender Bender Bingo
- Archibald exhibition and drinksArt Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, NS
Join us as we check out the Archibald, Wynn and Sulman prize exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney. Afterwards, we'll grab drinks and bite to eat at the Bar Luca in Circular Quay.
Tickets: On Wednesdays it is 2-for-1 (tickets are normally $25 for adults), so either grab a friend and book ahead, or meet us on the night and find someone else in the group (we'll try and split the cost if we end up with odd numbers).
Drinks and Food: provisionally afterwards at Bar Luca for a burger and a drink (menu here), approx. 10min walk from the Art Gallery (note that we may change the venue if we get a large turnout)
Getting there: The Art Gallery of NSW is located inside the Domain in the city. The closest train station is St James (9min). There is also a Wilsons parking garage at the Domain (prepaid entry after 5pm is $10 if booked ahead online).

The weather may be cold around this time of year, but this one has a fireplace 😊. It's 2-for-1 night with meals, so find yourself a dinner buddy!

Getting there: this one is tucked away - if you're on a bus, get off at Broadway Shopping Centre and head down Bay St. If coming by train, the closest station is Central (15-20min walk).
