What we’re about

We meet at Joy Meets Morgan Cafe (2/360 Homer St, Earlwood NSW 2206, https://maps.app.goo.gl/qM5ELAuDB7AmT5sA8 and start walking.

For those a little shy, we do regular weekend bush walks from Earlwood (near Bardwell Park Train Station to the end of Waterworth Park (near Tempe Train Station) and back. usually starts 8am and give you a chance to get to know those who you may be walking with during the week if your interested in the early morning walking before work.
Plenty of water and toilet stops if you don't want to carry water.

This group goal is for those that a looking to get away from the feeling of living in a city, want to be regularly active, enjoy the fresh air from plant life, want some human company during their walk, want some accountability to help motivate us to move instead of endlessly being stuck at home.

This is mostly a VERY EARLY (sunrise) morning walk during the week to allow most to get to work after but we also do a weekly Saturday 8am Walk for those wanting to meet the group before joining us for the before work morning walks which usually only go for an hour 6-7am

Starting time shifts with the seasons and events can be cancelled due to weather.

Most of the time during the week we walk from Joy Meets Morgan Cafe in Earlwood (near Bardwell Park Train to Turrella Reserve), but not strictly as the distance depends on how quick we move (which isn't too fast as this is a chill walk not a bush run, although your welcome to run ahead if you have the fitness). we end up back at Joy Meets Morgan Cafe ready to tackle the rest of the day.

Friendly Dogs are welcome but strictly on a leash.
I carry a first aid kit in my backpack which I'm happy to share if needed but if you bring your own it's better.
Bring your own water is optional as there are 3-4 bubblers along the walk and plenty of toilet stops

We are respectful, multicultural and inclusive of all people no matter the background. This isn't a dating focused group, friendly and kind is what we aim for with as little drama as possible.

I'll be honest this is something I wanted to do anyway, so I'll be walking and those who want to join are welcome, aiming for 3 days a week (probably too unrealistic) let see.

A little about me for those wondering, I'm a friendly 42 year old happily married man, father of 3 gorgeous kids, 2 boys and a girl 11, 9 and 6. I'm a IT professional, happy to chat and walk and also have silent walks to take in how lucky we are to have this patch of nature in the city.
