Join us for a beautiful 3-mile hike through the stunning redwood forests of Muir Woods! We'll tackle the Fern Creek to Camp Alice Eastwood Loop, a family-friendly trail that's been called a "park favorite" by the National Park Service.
This moderate hike takes us along lush Fern Creek through a magical redwood canyon, with a steady climb up to Camp Alice Eastwood where we'll take a break with stunning forest views. The trail features babbling creeks, towering old-growth redwoods, and peaceful forest scenery that'll make you forget you're just 30 minutes from San Francisco!
**Trail Stats:**

* Distance: 3 miles (4.8 km) loop
* Elevation gain: 340 feet
* Estimated time: 2 hours (plus breaks and socializing)
* Difficulty: Moderate (some uphill sections)

**What to Bring:**

* Sturdy hiking shoes with good tread (trail can be uneven/rooted)
* Water bottle (1-2 liters recommended)
* Snacks or lunch (picnic tables available at Camp Alice Eastwood)
* Layers - it's cooler in the redwood forest!
* Sunscreen and hat
* Camera for those epic redwood photos
* Optional: trekking poles if you prefer extra stability
