Taking Back Pride & Pride Festival!

Hi everyone! I (Kate), am back in the US for a couple of months, and am super excited to host an event for Pride!

I do want to note that we will be attending the Taking Back Pride March, which occurs right before the Pride Parade. The march is an "annual protest of the continued presence of cops and corporations at Twin Cities Pride", and pays homage to the Stonewall Uprising. Even if you decide not to attend the march, you are welcome to join us afterwards at the Pride Festival in Loring Park!

Itinerary:
9:00 - Meet up at Spyhouse for coffee and a snack!
9:40 - Walk over to the starting point for the Taking Back Pride March (6th Street between Hennepin and 1st)
10:00 - Taking Back Pride March begins
11:00-12:00 - Arrive at Loring Park! Arrival time depends on speakers and the general pace of the march
12:00-2:00 - Enjoy the Pride Festival at Loring Park! Perhaps we can grab lunch together too!

While I will be there the entire time, you should feel free to come or leave whenever you'd like! Please be sure to bring water, sunscreen, snacks, and good walking shoes. I'll try to bring extras, as well as masks and a first aid kit!
