Luncheon at Andiamo Italian Restaurant🍝

This event isn’t anime or Japanese themed. But it was one of the few places I could find that could accommodate a larger group on short notice.

The reason I wanted to put this lunch together is because in light of recent events in the past week. A lot of people in the geek community are feeling very uneasy. And I wanted us to come together to support one another in these difficult times.

This lunch isn’t about politics or who’s right or who’s wrong. But to show love and understanding to our fellow community. One of the best things we can do. Is show each other that we aren’t alone. Even though it may seem like the entire world is against us. As we scroll through social media or go through altercations in real time.

However you choose to handle such a polarized political landscape right now. Whether it be through words or fighting. Coming together and sharing a meal with those who are fighting the same way you are. Can be a light in a very dark time. Not to mention pasta and wine always makes things better😊

If you’re out protesting. Be proud, because you’re taking a stand that over half the country feels that things aren’t worth fighting for. If you’re not, I’m proud of you for staying strong in such a difficult time. This luncheon is your time to be around the love and support that we so desperately need.

I have a reservation set up for 20 people. So please make sure you get your RSVP in. That’s just the maximum the restaurant can allow without renting a private room. But if a couple more show up. I’ll do my best to get you seated.
