Welcome to Twin Cities Arcaders!
Twin Cities Arcaders is a social gaming and entertainment community for people in their 20s and 30s who want to meet new people, make friends, and have fun around the Twin Cities.
I'm Tyler, the organizer and original creator of Twin Cities Arcaders. The original group grew into a community of more than 1,500 members, and now I've decided to bring it back with a fresh vision, new events, and an even bigger focus on building real friendships and creating a strong local community. I also have a co-organizer, Derek, who will be helping me get the new Arcaders started and attending some of our events.
The idea behind the Arcaders actually came from something pretty simple.
I've always had a fondness for going to arcades and playing games, but a lot of the time when I went out, I found myself doing it alone. I started thinking: why not turn something I already love doing into a social experience where a whole group of us can hang out, game together, meet new people, and have a great time?
And that's really how Twin Cities Arcaders was born.
The Arcaders is built around a very simple framework that I know works:
"Give young adults something fun to do together, create an easygoing environment, let friendships grow naturally, and, of course, hang out and have fun!"
Gaming will remain at the heart of what we do. Expect arcade nights, bowling, mini-golf, board games, Jackbox, trivia, bingo, VR, darts, gaming events, and plenty of casual food and social nights along the way.
We'll also occasionally go a little "off the grid" and try something different while still keeping some connection to gaming. That might mean watching a video game adaptation movie together, checking out a unique gaming-related attraction, or even attending a convention together.
Part of the new Arcaders is going to be discovering those ideas together.
The goal is simple:
"Make arcade life fun again — and find some great friends along the way."
