Buddhist Meditation Columbia Heights
Details
About the event: A weekly Monday Open Practice at 7:00 p.m. in Columbia Heights. The evening includes meditation followed by a group discussion. Everything is offered in English, and no registration is needed. New people are welcome, and arriving a few minutes early is recommended.
This is not my event: it’s an open community practice offered by the Shambhala Meditation Center of Minneapolis. This post is simply a space for anyone in our group who wants to attend but feels hesitant to go alone. If you’d like a buddy to meet you there, you can coordinate in the comments. I've closed the signup to the night before because I don't always attend all events, but if someone signs up I'll try to meet you there, especially if no one else from the group is signing up.
Location: This weekly Monday Open Practice meets at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Minneapolis (2931 Grand St NE, Minneapolis, right on the Columbia Heights border).
Purpose of this post: To help anyone in our group who wants to attend this Monday session but prefers not to walk in alone. Feel free to comment if you’d like to meet up with others.
If you hear about any schedule changes or updates from Shambhala, feel free to let me know. It helps keep the group’s information accurate for everyone.
You could easily attend without posting here. However, if you do mark your interest here, it helps me understand whether this Buddhist schedule group is useful to people. No pressure either way.
If you know of a Buddhist event that isn’t listed and you’d like people to attend with you, please feel free to reach out. However, this space is only for free or optional‑donation Buddhist events, not for paid programs or general spiritual gatherings, so we can maintain a clear, welcoming focus for the whole community.
