Greetings, My Terpsichorean Friends!
This Sunday at Eagles 34 we are going to learn Shadow dancing (video). This has nothing to do with the Andy Gibb song of the same name from 1978. This is a couples’ dance where lead and follow both face forward, follow in front of the lead, and both on the lead footwork. It can be a very sensual dance! For this reason, the last two years Hoedown In The Dunes featured a “sleazy shadow” contest. Both times, couples from the Twin Cities won!!! Well, now the pressure is on to retain the title! This dance is not for the shy person, so if you are feeling bold, come on out!
The lesson begins at 6:30, with open dancing from 7:30 – 10:00.

This is put on by San Francisco’s Sundance Saloon, which did the Stompede that many from Minnesota have attended. The Stompedes are no more, but the same people are bringing their energy and passion to Reno to put on an amazing event at the World Gay Rodeo Finals. This is going to be spectacular!
